Meisenheimer Hof
Obergasse 33, 55590 Meisenheim, Germany
Hotel description
The wine hotel is located in Meisenheim. A town "en miniature", the only one in south-west Germany to have been spared from war for over 500 years and therefore full of wonderful buildings. Cradle of Swedish and Bavarian kings, interwoven with European history, embedded in a gentle nature, of southern serene charm, at the gates of some of the best vineyards in the world ... To be part of this city, part of this culture, is the program of our hotel.
The magnificent baroque main building has housed an inn since at least 1699. Redefined from the ground up as a wine hotel in 2013, the hotel has been designed in such a way that you would love to be a guest here yourself. Every detail counts. You dine in the historic dining room: "Zur Blume" with its two-hundred-year-old wood paneling or the tongue-in-cheek "Jägerzimmer" ... or in the "Brunnenstube", characterized by a medieval fountain. When the weather is fine, you can of course sit outside in the shady inner courtyard, which is bordered by the town wall. Next to it is the wine grotto and the "grail" of the house, so to speak, the wonderful wine cellar with its treasures.
The 24 hotel rooms and suites are themed rooms. Most of them are named after famous vineyards on the Nahe. Their very individual furnishings refer to the vineyard and the prominent winegrowers who tend the vines and are the rooms' sponsors. Other rooms commemorate historical personalities with a connection to Meisenheim's history. Modern comfort is a matter of course, but the unique style characterizes the experience.

Wines
- The extensive wine list naturally includes the best from the NAHE region, as well as from the associated Disibodenberg winery in Odernheim, selected wines from other German wine-growing regions and from neighboring European countries. In addition to the home region, the Bordelais in particular is prominently represented. Guided wine tastings with products from the Disibodenberg winery show the full range of this award-winning estate. Racy Rieslings and powerful (white and red) Burgundies come from the steep vineyards around Odernheim.
